Movermate Cookie Policy

We use strictly necessary cookies to run the Movermate Sites, and set analytics and advertising cookies only after you allow them.

This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and similar technologies we use on the Movermate website at movermate.io and in the Movermate web application, why we use them, and how you can control them. It should be read with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information more generally.

Who we are. The Movermate Sites are operated by Movermate Inc., 2810 N Church St #88983, Wilmington, DE 19802, USA. For customers in Australia and New Zealand, Movermate services are provided by its subsidiary Sprout Tech Pty Ltd, trading as Movermate, Ground floor, 470 St Kilda Road, Melbourne VIC 3004, Australia.

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your browser or device so it can recognise that browser or device later.

• First-party cookies are set by the site you are visiting. Third-party cookies are set by another company's service running on that site, such as an advertising provider.
• Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay for a set period, shown in our cookie declaration.
• Similar technologies work in a similar way and are covered by this policy. They include local storage in your browser, tags and pixels (small pieces of code that report when a page is viewed or an action is completed), and software development kits in mobile apps.
• In this policy, "cookies" includes these similar technologies.

We group cookies into three categories. Only strictly necessary cookies are set without your consent.

Main cookies we use

The full, current list of cookies, including analytics cookies, with each cookie's provider, purpose and duration, is in the cookie declaration on our website. Cookiebot scans our website regularly and updates the declaration automatically, so it stays accurate when cookies change.

We do not sell personal information. If you allow advertising cookies, Google receives information about your visit and may use it under its own privacy policy; under some US state laws this counts as "sharing" for advertising, which you can opt out of (Sections 4 and 6).

You decide whether we use analytics and advertising cookies, and you can change your mind at any time.

Consent banner. When you first visit our website, a banner lets you accept all cookies, reject all optional cookies, or choose by category. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and no optional cookie is set before you choose. If you close the banner without choosing, only strictly necessary cookies are used.

Changing your choice. Use the "Cookie settings" link in our website footer to change or withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing consent stops optional cookies from being used from then on; it does not affect use before you withdrew. We ask for your choice again every 12 months, or sooner if the cookies we use change significantly.

Your Privacy Choices (United States). The "Your Privacy Choices" link in our website footer lets you opt out of advertising cookies and any sale or sharing of personal information.

Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of advertising cookies and of sale or sharing for that browser, without you needing to do anything else.

Browser settings. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and most browsers can warn you before cookies are set. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the Movermate Sites, such as signing in, from working.

Google settings. You can control how Google uses information for advertising at Google's Ad Settings page (adssettings.google.com).

Web application. Inside the signed-in Movermate web application we use only strictly necessary cookies and browser storage, to keep you signed in, secure your session and remember your settings. We do not use advertising cookies inside the application.

Movermate Field mobile app. The Movermate Field app does not use cookies or advertising identifiers. It uses crash diagnostics and anonymous product usage analytics that run on Movermate's own self-hosted infrastructure and are not sent to any third-party analytics, crash reporting or advertising provider. Location collection in the app is explained in Section 6 of our Privacy Policy and is controlled by the device's location permission, not by cookie settings.

Emails. Our service and marketing emails may contain tracking pixels that show whether an email was opened or a link was clicked. Where the law requires consent for this, we ask for it, and you can block it by turning off automatic image loading in your email app.

United Kingdom, European Union and EEA

We set non-essential cookies only with your prior consent, as required by the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 and the ePrivacy rules in your country. Our legal basis for analytics and advertising cookies is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Where Google receives information through advertising cookies, it may transfer it outside the UK and EEA under its own safeguards, as described in the Privacy Policy. Our EU and UK representatives are listed in the Privacy Policy.

United States

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act and similar state laws, Google Ads conversion tracking may count as "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. You can opt out using the "Your Privacy Choices" link, the cookie settings or Global Privacy Control, as described in Section 4. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

Canada

We use analytics and advertising cookies only with your consent. In Quebec, any technology that can identify, locate or profile you is off by default and is turned on only if you choose to allow it.

Australia and New Zealand

Where information collected through cookies is personal information, we handle it under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, as described in the Privacy Policy. The same consent-first approach applies: analytics and advertising cookies are set only if you allow them.

Consent records. Cookiebot keeps a record of your cookie choice, including the date, a random consent ID, a shortened (anonymised) IP address and the version of the banner you saw, so we can show that we respected your choice. We keep these records for 12 months.

Changes. We update this policy when the cookies we use change. The cookie declaration is updated automatically after each scan. If we add a new category of cookie or a new advertising provider, we will ask for your consent again before using it.
